Rehearsals
Rehearsals are held as follows.
Location: Lakeridge High School Band Room
Day of Week: Sunday
Time: 7:00 – 9:00 pm
Absences
Absences should be avoided whenever possible. However, if a member must be absent, they should notify the Personnel Manager.
Other
- Fragrances
Please avoid use of perfume and cologne during rehearsals and concerts as these can trigger asthma and allergy problems for other band members.
Attire
Following is information on the concert attire required for both regular concerts and summer concerts.
Regular Concert Dress – Women
- Long black dress, skirt or slacks and black blouse or sweater, black shoes (all black attire)
- Long black sleeves (not 3/4″ sleeves)
- No canvas shoes
- Legs, ankles, any exposed part of feet should be covered in black.
Regular Concert Dress – Men
- Black tuxedo, black shoes, black socks, black bow tie, white shirt
- No canvas shoes
- If you do not have a tuxedo, a dark suit with white shirt and black bow tie is required
- If you need a tuxedo, Mr. Formal has a large sale in October. Also, St. Vincent de Paul and thrift shops are good places to check.
Summer Concert Dress – Women
- White shirt with collar and short or long sleeves
- Black long pants or long skirt
- Black shoes and socks – no canvas shoes or sandals
- LOMCB patriotic-themed scarves (to be provided at the concert)
Summer Concert Dress – Men
- White dress shirt with collar and short or long sleeves
- Black long pants
- Black shoes and socks – no canvas shoes or sandals
- LOMCB patriotic-themed ties (to be provided at the concert)
