June 16-20, 2016. LOMCB is honored to represent Oregon as it travels to Washington, DC to participate in the 2016 National Festival of States Concert Series commemorating the 75th anniversary of the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. The band will perform a special concert for retired veterans, perform in front of the Lincoln Memorial, and participate in a musical experience with the Air Force Band. At Arlington Cemetery, LOMCB will participate in the Wreath Ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, with veteran members of the band laying the wreath. A visit to the White House, museums and other government buildings will provide additional exciting and educational opportunities for band members.
